This is a somewhat complicated and time consuming activity. It also requires quite a bit of duct tape. It is best to do after most participants have some experience making duct tape crafts such as duct tape wallets.
I think the easiest way to demonstrate this activity is to show a series of pictures. There isn’t one way to do this, but we find it easiest to weave the duct tape sides and base to make a checkered pattern. Then we cover the interior with one solid color. We also make the side panels by forming one panel on each side. We have used a variety of methods to make a clasp. Handles are simply made by sticking two long strips together and attached by duct tape.
Sharp scissors make squaring up the panels easier. These aren’t the best directions. If you need more info, feel free to ask.
