Ziplock Ice Cream


So simple!


Save yourself some serious headaches and do this outside!

Also, don’t go cheap on the ziplock bags.  Buy the good quality freezer bags.  You will be thankful later.

Here is what you need:

lots and lots of ice, sugar, whole milk (or whipping cream), vanilla, rock salt, ziplock bags, and spoons

In gallon bag, fill half-way with ice and 1/3 cup of rock salt.

In pint (or quart) bag, put in 1/2 cup whole milk, 1/2 tsp vanilla, and 1-2 tbs sugar.

Seal small bag.  Place in large bag.  Seal large bag.  Shake for 10-15 minutes.  discard large bag and contents.  Open small bag.  Enjoy!

note: There are other ingrediants that make an ice cream that is creamier such as using whipping cream.  I like this recipe because it is cheap and simple and I doubt people will complain…..and so what if they do. 🙂
