This is another Back to School Extravaganza craft. These recycled bookmarks are easy to make, especially if you have a die cut machine. In order to do this craft you will need: old books, decorative or collage papers, a glue stick, ribbon, scissors, a hole punch, and clear packing tape. Here are the easy steps: 1. Select unwanted texts (books with sections missing, those beyond repair, or Encyclopedias work well). 2. Rip out the pages and run them through the die cut machine using a small bookmark-friendly shape, or cut out small shapes (hearts, stars, snowflakes, your name) with scissors. 3. Using the glue stick, adhere your cut-out materials to an interesting background, cover both sides with clear packing tape, and trim excess paper or tape. 4. Punch hole, add ribbon, and you are ready to read!
