Sweater Hats II

sweater hats 012

This is the second time we made sweater hats. Our sweaters were donated by a local thrift store, which made it a low-cost program. I asked for sweaters that were a little on the thin side, so that I would be able run them through our sewing machine. People could make sweater hats, mittens, and/or leg warmers. The teens were responsible for selecting their materials, measuring their heads and hands, tracing their design, cutting, and embellishing. Just like last time, some folks wanted to make ninja masks, which was totally fine with me (although, I told them to be peaceful ninjas). We also had someone declare that they were a “Lettuce Head” while wearing a floppy green hat.
